British Chain Travelodge Expands In Spain With New Hotel Near Málaga Airport - Simply Shuttles

  The Oxfordshire-based company Travelodge operates more than 600 hotels across the United Kingdom and Ireland. It has gone on to expand its portfolio recently by acquiring five further hotels — including a site in the Costa del Sol tourism hotspot of Málaga. All five of these new Travelodge hotels were bought from Louvre Hotels Group. What used to be the Campanile on Málaga’s Avenida de Velázquez has been renamed Travelodge Málaga Aeropuerto — three-star accommodation lying just two minutes away from Málaga Airport. An exciting new milestone in Travelodge’s Spanish journey The new hotel houses 114 rooms, two meeting rooms, and a restaurant, with car parking also available onsite. What Employment Law Changes Can We Expect From The New Government - Portner

  The new Labour government has pledged to make significant changes to our employment legislation over the coming months with the introduction of a new Employment Rights Bill. Consultant Karen South examines what employers and employees can expect under the new legislation, which the government has promised to introduce within 100 days of taking office. In the King’s Speech on the opening of the new parliament, Labour promised “a new deal for working people”. This will include “banning exploitative practices and enhancing employment rights”. What this is likely to mean in practice can be gleaned from the background notes to the King’s Speech and the pledges set out in Labour’s pre-election manifesto. What “exploitative practices” will be banned? The headline change is the banning of ‘zero-hours’ contracts to ensure workers have rights to a contract reflecting the average hours worked.
